Hindraf did not greet ministers at Raya Open house

"He was referring to the Hindraf supporters who came to the Hari Raya open house he and other ministers had hosted on Oct 1 at Putra World Trade Centre, where they asked him to repeal the Internal Security Act (ISA) and release the five Hindraf leaders held under it." The Star reports 8 oct 2008.
It is so ironic. How can PM sincerely enjoy HR, a month of forgiveness, a month of good tidings, and yet celebrate HR knowing that there are people unjustly arrested under ISA? This truly reflects how hypocritical our leaders can be.
Then Syed Hamid Albar goes on to say that the Hindraf actions was a form of provocation and intimidation! The cheek he has to say "intimidation"! What is ISA? A nice cup of warm coffee on a cold day?
Of course the Hindraf are angry. Who wouldn't be?
Hindraf coordinator are saying that they were unhappy with the minister's comments and the Malay daily's biased reporting which painted the movement in a negative light.
The least the government should do is listen. Granted, the Hindraf may not be the best of groups to follow or support, and I definitely do not support some of their actions. But I think that the government themselves ought to show some respect. Time and again, rather than facing the issues at hand, answering the public in honour and truth, they'd much rather arrest first... (and not even ask questions later!)...
sigh... where are we heading really ?

make the right thg at the right time....show respect if u are expecting respect from others as well......
