Myanmar and us...

What do we do or think about what's going on in Myanmar?
A huge act of God causing deaths that are so extreme that makes us ask ourselves, "why?". Just like the tsunami that hit the small town in Sumatra, killing thousands, this cyclone hitting Myanmar can only serve to remind us how fragile we really are. How our life can be snuffed like a candle in the wind.
Yet, many of us walk this earth thinking we're God's gift to mankind. Thinking the world owes us. Thinking we'll live forever.
The last article I read about Myanmar was about how there was not even any electricity or money to generate the power in order to incinerate the corpses of the victims... leaving a terrible stench. Diseases will be inevitable. If there was any way any one can help, it surely has to be either to fly there and assist, or by finances, and of course by prayer.
The question i ask myself is: Why would God do this? Doesn't God love us?
My only answer to this is : I dont know. I just have to trust that He knows what He's doing and there is a reason bigger than my own understanding or logic.
I pray in my own way, that the survivors of this terrible tragedy will somehow be ok. That the children will grow up and NOT live with a psychological impairment. That their lives will go on... and that somehow... they will, if not already... eventually find our true God.
God help them and maybe moreso, God help us, who have not found Him. Life IS fragile.

National Service... one death too many..

In today's Star... another National Service student succumbs to some strange questionable illness... Constipation ! and dies!.
This is scary, especially for parents whose children are yet to go.
What is going on? What investigations are taking place?
I wonder how many more deaths must happen in very strange circumstances... mostly illnesses BEFORE some kind of investigation takes place ?
Also... in 3 months... a kid can die... very very high risk if you ask me.

Writers Charged with Sedition... ??

Amazing... we've done it again !
Raja Petra is arrested and jailed for his work in "malaysia today".
The Sun's Citizen Nades is "victimised" by ACA and made the victim of an investigation that's actually NOTHING to do with him... an investigation on the rm9.9 missing millions by Balkis. ??
What about the stupid person who suggested that women who're going overseas alone need consent????
My goodness!!
MM's article in the star about our Knee-jerk reaction Govt is so true !! Why not jail all men or keep them "safe" at home, since most rapes, murders, snatch theft are by men? That would be really clever no?

Aiyoh teruk nye, is all i can say in another day in the life of a life in Malaysia.

The Sun ... a paper that's really HOT.. .

I created this blog for one reason ONLY... that is to put in my 50sen worth of comments that I can later go back and read and remember what's happening in our country. Or rather.. what stupid things are going on in the country currently. My main header today is "the Sun". I love reading this mainly because of Citizen Nades. Hats off to you Nades for your bravery, intelligence, outspoken-ness, in-your-face attitude. I'm just wondering that i'll be reading "the Sun" one day with headlines that "...our dear writer Nades is in jail for being too painfully honest"...
Rah rah Nades, the Sun... this first entry is a tribute to you guys!!
