Bukit Antarabangsa Landslide...

Yet another pathetic show of corruption begets complacency begets tragedy.
Yet another show of existential generalization.
The government has very simply been unable to control corruption; allowing uncontrolled projects to go ahead with no enforcements of proper building and structuring of hillsides; leading to yet another avoidable disaster!
What is the existential generalization?
One disaster, therefore ALL projects must stop because all projects will lead to disaster.
Then wait for a few months or year.
Malaysians forget.
Corruption continues.
More building projects approved under questionable circumstances.
Till the next disaster strikes.
So what's new?

Razak Baginda Acquitted... No surprise is it?

The acquittal is no surprise. The judiciary decision works like clockwork; making a decision before hand, let the process take place, then implement the decision made beforehand.

Questions I have are :
1. Is nobody looking for Balasubramaniam, the only chap who can get Najis in court... is anyone other than the cops looking for him?
2. Can Mongolia now do something and make this an international spectacle?
3. Can our opposition parties in the likes of Kit Siang or Anwar bring the various evidences somewhere and make this an international issue? (since OBVIOUSLY we cannot resolve this nationally)
4. Why cant Najis go to court on the grounds of his so called involvement and smses to Razak Baginda's lawyer?

Again, helplessly, we watch murderers get away ... small criminals get charged and jailed while the BIGGEST culprits standing in the highest office get away scot-free! I pray judgement will very soon be made on these evil doers by none other than God Himself!

Hindraf did not greet ministers at Raya Open house

"He was referring to the Hindraf supporters who came to the Hari Raya open house he and other ministers had hosted on Oct 1 at Putra World Trade Centre, where they asked him to repeal the Internal Security Act (ISA) and release the five Hindraf leaders held under it." The Star reports 8 oct 2008.
It is so ironic. How can PM sincerely enjoy HR, a month of forgiveness, a month of good tidings, and yet celebrate HR knowing that there are people unjustly arrested under ISA? This truly reflects how hypocritical our leaders can be.
Then Syed Hamid Albar goes on to say that the Hindraf actions was a form of provocation and intimidation! The cheek he has to say "intimidation"! What is ISA? A nice cup of warm coffee on a cold day?
Of course the Hindraf are angry. Who wouldn't be?
Hindraf coordinator are saying that they were unhappy with the minister's comments and the Malay daily's biased reporting which painted the movement in a negative light.
The least the government should do is listen. Granted, the Hindraf may not be the best of groups to follow or support, and I definitely do not support some of their actions. But I think that the government themselves ought to show some respect. Time and again, rather than facing the issues at hand, answering the public in honour and truth, they'd much rather arrest first... (and not even ask questions later!)...
sigh... where are we heading really ?

Teresa Kok is a Racist ??? ...C'mon !!

Whoever is/are inciting the racial politics are doing it in desperation for support. Since the major loss in the elections, all kinds of wrongdoing are being committed. First the sodomy charges on Anwar again. Then the ISA arrests of innocent individuals. Then the racial card is pulled. Then the attempts to clamp down the media. Now the latest is the attempt to take Abdullah Badawi out of his position..why? Simple… Because he is actually quite clean and his “naive-ness” is making the corrupt people around him worried because Abdullah is actually allowing ACA to start doing their work. If he continues this way, more and more things will be uprooted and worms dug out.
Consider this: what if the next in line is actually guilty of certain crimes? What if various senior UMNO council members are corrupt? Would it therefore not be logical that if Abdullah keeps allowing or appearing to be “weak”, these peoples’ positions will eventually be in jeopardy?
Therefore, it is only logical to take Abdullah out, replace him with a corrupt person. ACA will therefore be quelled. Nothing will be upturned. Hence the layman (like me) will not know anything and things will be seemingly hunky dory, while corruption/crime at the highest levels can go on.
This of course is but a theory and not an accusation lest I too be arrested under ISA. But if I am arrested… that would mean i’m probably correct.
Raja Petra must have been correct then.

Malaysian Goings Ons... scares me s**tless.

It's getting really hard not to be critical about almost everything that's going on in Malaysia. Or is it just the media?
The crimes being committed nowadays are incredibly scary. It really is getting very very dangerous to walk anywhere alone anymore. Read the papers and you'll find teenage girls going missing, men or women getting stabbed to death with no apparent motive for the killing, break ins, robberies, car chases. What is going on to our country?
To add to all that, our dear government's questionable arrest of Raja Petra under ISA. C'mon man, the fellow has a heart condition. He has an opinion about something and was perhaps being outspoken about it. So spank him, fine him, give him a trial. It so obvious to me that this is nothing but an ego trip for some individuals who's trying to show who's boss.
I'm not really one to give a s**t about anything generally, but lately I cant help but be very very concerned about what's going on in our country.
Raja Petra was arrested under ISA. It was claimed that his blog could incite racial and religious tension and disrupt peace in the country.
A BIG HA HA to that. I cannot imagine how a little layman who's not even holding any seat in parliament, who goes around writing views in a blog, who has a heart and blood pressure condition can possible disrupt peace in the country!
Wow! Can you imagine the POWER this guy must have over all of us unthinking, stupid, brainless individuals who have no opinions of our own!?
Ya ya...such hypnotic skills RP must have to be able to incite such tension and disruptions just from bloody writing in a friggin BLOG !!
What about all the other people in the world who write something bad about our country? Aren't they going to disrupt the peace as well?
Sigh... so so fedup

Malaysian Political Situation ... a laymans analysis

There are an incredible number of opinions out there about what is happening to Malaysia politically. It seems that everywhere you turn, the general man on the street seems to be siding PKR. However, this could be because the city folk have always tended to be opposition whereas the folks on the outskirts of cities tend to be more pro-BN.
Regardless, it is my intention to try to look at this objectively and try to analyse from my own understanding by the various blogs, papers and what have you.
Some points to ponder on which have in some way impacted the way the situation is today:
1. The charging of Anwar for Sodomy 10 years ago.
2. The appointment of Badawi as PM by Mahathir.
3. The various scandals and failures of projects like the MRR2.
4. Mahathir's departure from UMNO.
5. Mahathir's own position and criticism of Badawi.
6. The strengthening of Anwar after his jail term.
7. The various reports raised on misappropriation of funds by BN. (sports building in england, etc)
8. The flip flopping of education policies.
9. The major March 2008 loss of seats for BN.
10. The unlawful ISA arrests made to Raja Petra, Teresa Kok, and journalist Tan.
11. The Altantuya murder which seemed at one point to implicate the DPM but has since been silenced.
12. The various "disappearances" of parties and critical witnesses to the Altantuya murder.
13. The apparent non-authoratative nature of our current PM.
14. The not so independent ACA.
15. The not-so independent judiciary.
16. The need for the government having to step in at every single thing that is happening, whether it be crime, corporate issues, political issues or anything; giving the impression that things cannot run on their own without government intervention (or interference as some would say).
17. Cronyism
18. The issuance of licences and project handouts and evaluations which seem to indicate unfairness.
19. The issueing of APs.
20. The unjust ISA arrests under highly questionable scenarios of individuals.
21. The NON-arrests of individuals who deserve to be arrested.

All these little and large items happening at various points in the past few years after Badawi took over as PM has led to people slowly but surely losing faith with the current government. Emotions aside, there seem to have been too many things happening in the political arena and sometimes not political arena which are shaping the opinion of the people.
What seems to be very common in this country is that the BN seem to always have to step in and voice an opinion or make a decision over things which should not even concern them. This gives the public the opinion that the government is somehow involved and taking a side, whichever side it may be.
AFter the March 2008 elections up to date, it seems like the country has never settled in to face the current economic woes. This again leads to the general public being tired and fed up with the way things are being managed, if at all. The feeling that the government is still groping in the dark, never ever being able to pick up the pieces of the loss and focusing on issues like actually running the country is very real at this point in time. Even the BN partner MCA to date has not made any progress at all in trying to remedy the economy. However, from the point of "opinions", there is never a shortage of it.
All these lead to one simple fact: the public start to lose faith, and any change is better than what we have now.
However, with all the turmoil with economy, opposition party attacks and psychological warfare, how will BN ever get to pick up the pieces? There is no country in the world or political party that can focus on anything if it has to focus on everything.
This is the trouble Malaysia is in now; and by the looks of it, it is going to be a long arduous journey ahead for any party. The people are ready. The management is not.

Teresa Kok

Poor young lady. Did so much for a nation. Well known among the people. Work so hard no time to do anything else.

Now stuck in custody for no reason.

Malaysia's infamous I.S.A !

The world is watching.
The world is probably upset.
We should be ashamed of ourselves.
I feel ashamed.

Imagine when we go travel overseas... we will be remembered by ... "oh...isnt that the country that has this strange catch-you-detain-you-and-talk-later?"

I guess the only sad answer we can give is "yes".

How do the police, our politicians sleep at night in their comfortable beds when some innocent person is remanded in custody and has sleepless nights !?

Pisses me off just thinking about it!!

Teresa Kok Raja Petra and ISA

If you lift yourself out of the forest and view the political situation, you can only sigh and watch ourselves and the situation get predictably worse and worse. Unfortunately I am of the opinion that our politicians currently running the country are not only predictable, but are also taking the route that will only create more havoc and problems. Like clockwork they "react" to everything with adhoc solutions and no proper long term thinking.

After their massive loss in the March 08 elections and until today, we cannot help but feel the scrambling all over the place of the component parties, MCA, Gerakan. MCA too groping around in search of a good position, to no avail.

Things are happening now which are only making things worse.
Take the ISA arrests for example.
The pride is so great that even after PAS and Masjids saying that TK had nothing to do with the allegations, she still remains in custody with no apologies and no release.

Future prediction:
Govt, police will turn around and release TK.
Anwar will get stronger and more popular.
More BN members will drop out.
PM transition will take place earlier due to surmounting pressure.
Razak Baginda will get away scot free.
Najib will be implicated but nothing will happen.
Ahmad will join PKR.

Myanmar and us...

What do we do or think about what's going on in Myanmar?
A huge act of God causing deaths that are so extreme that makes us ask ourselves, "why?". Just like the tsunami that hit the small town in Sumatra, killing thousands, this cyclone hitting Myanmar can only serve to remind us how fragile we really are. How our life can be snuffed like a candle in the wind.
Yet, many of us walk this earth thinking we're God's gift to mankind. Thinking the world owes us. Thinking we'll live forever.
The last article I read about Myanmar was about how there was not even any electricity or money to generate the power in order to incinerate the corpses of the victims... leaving a terrible stench. Diseases will be inevitable. If there was any way any one can help, it surely has to be either to fly there and assist, or by finances, and of course by prayer.
The question i ask myself is: Why would God do this? Doesn't God love us?
My only answer to this is : I dont know. I just have to trust that He knows what He's doing and there is a reason bigger than my own understanding or logic.
I pray in my own way, that the survivors of this terrible tragedy will somehow be ok. That the children will grow up and NOT live with a psychological impairment. That their lives will go on... and that somehow... they will, if not already... eventually find our true God.
God help them and maybe moreso, God help us, who have not found Him. Life IS fragile.

National Service... one death too many..

In today's Star... another National Service student succumbs to some strange questionable illness... Constipation ! and dies!.
This is scary, especially for parents whose children are yet to go.
What is going on? What investigations are taking place?
I wonder how many more deaths must happen in very strange circumstances... mostly illnesses BEFORE some kind of investigation takes place ?
Also... in 3 months... a kid can die... very very high risk if you ask me.

Writers Charged with Sedition... ??

Amazing... we've done it again !
Raja Petra is arrested and jailed for his work in "malaysia today".
The Sun's Citizen Nades is "victimised" by ACA and made the victim of an investigation that's actually NOTHING to do with him... an investigation on the rm9.9 missing millions by Balkis. ??
What about the stupid person who suggested that women who're going overseas alone need consent????
My goodness!!
MM's article in the star about our Knee-jerk reaction Govt is so true !! Why not jail all men or keep them "safe" at home, since most rapes, murders, snatch theft are by men? That would be really clever no?

Aiyoh teruk nye, is all i can say in another day in the life of a life in Malaysia.

The Sun ... a paper that's really HOT.. .

I created this blog for one reason ONLY... that is to put in my 50sen worth of comments that I can later go back and read and remember what's happening in our country. Or rather.. what stupid things are going on in the country currently. My main header today is "the Sun". I love reading this mainly because of Citizen Nades. Hats off to you Nades for your bravery, intelligence, outspoken-ness, in-your-face attitude. I'm just wondering that i'll be reading "the Sun" one day with headlines that "...our dear writer Nades is in jail for being too painfully honest"...
Rah rah Nades, the Sun... this first entry is a tribute to you guys!!
